2007 Iron Horse MKIII Expert (All Mountain)-CLOSEOUT: "The dw-link MKIII is one of the most rider acclaimed full suspension bikes of recent memory. Its 5 inch travel dw-link rear suspension coupled with a 6 lb frame weight make for an XC trail weapon.

2007 sees some impressive improvements for the MKIII, including a new stiffer forged chainstay yoke, an entirely new O.P.T . triple butted tubeset, clearance for a 2.35 rear tire, and Iron Horse's industry leading 10mm shock pivot standard.

Time to power wash the deck

Fixed Gear Mountian Bike - I gave up :(

I just could not get this under control. I have to admit that on the road and easy terrain it is a blast but when you come across anything technical I just can not enjoy it. So now the Kona Unit is a Rigid Single Speed Disc 26 and 69er with a simple swap of the front wheel. Still a blast and light in weight. I may look for used front suspension or perhaps upgrade my Orbea Hardtail and use her RockShox Pyslo.

Just back from Chicago and saw many SS/ fixed Bikes

I just spent 2 days @ the Internet Retailer Show and took a few pics. The Green Bike is a well ridden Mercier. Chicago is such a great place to visit and next time I am in town I want to take a day or 2 extra and bike the town. Way to much to see just walking. It would be great to rent or borrow a Fixed Gear. SHould not be hard to find a shop willing to do this.

This picture just says so many things

The trike is one of the first chances we have at freedom to drive and control where we go and make choices to coast carefree. This trike looks like a hotrod with fat tires and aggressive lines. This was not a delicate bike that adorned a perfect yard. It has been ridden and used for its intended purpose. I bet it has many stories to tell. It is from a time when simple toys were valued greatly and we used our imagination to complete the story............ Ah those times.....

VW Tiguan Commercial with 2 Trek T1's

2009 Specialized Langster: "Sure, the fixed-gear pool has been diluted a little more, but that's nothing worth crying about. Fixed-gear riding hasn't been a secret for years. (A new VW Tiguan commercial has two bikes mounted on the roof rack. a few years ago, they'd have been mountain bikes. Now, they're Trek T1's.)"

The 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race, said police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez.

A photograph taken by a city official showed bicyclists and equipment being hurled high into the air by the collision.

Rodriguez said Juan Campos was charged with killing Alejandro Alvarez, 37, of Monterrey.

Authorities said the wreck happened 15 minutes into the 34-kilometer (21 mile) race Sunday along a highway between Playa Bagdad and Matamoros, across from Brownsville, Texas."

VW TV commercials during the NHL Cups games

Track / Fixed Gear Bikes are getting more and more attention. However I may be crazy but I am pretty sure VW used 2 not 1 but 2 Track Bikes on the Roof of the Midsized SUV they are bringing into the US market. The Tiguan is while and in the commercial is covered next to the Black vintage VW Bug. When the cover is lifted the 2 bikes on the roof rack look like track bikes. This is surely a sign that the Fixed / Track bike has been accepted.
