Upon reading of poor Fat Cyclist getting knocked down at the start of the race I found this video clearly (maybe not so clearly) showing a racer going down at 55 seconds into the 2 minute clip.
Anybody else notice if this rider is wearing the Pink Jersey ? Probably not Fatty but amusing

I have made a strong effort to ride to work at least 1 day per week this summer. It is 9-11 miles here depending on the route and I have another 10-20 mile route home as I have more time. This morning I left at 8:35 and took the busy route straight down route 7 into South Norwalk. Traffic is out of control at this time so I think I will go back to R33 to Chestnut to Newtown Tpke to East Ave into South Norwalk. That is safer and take only a few minutes more. I arrived at 9:05 but I had to stop and adjust the rear wheel. I did not secure the QR tight enough when I changed the tires to 700x32 Cross tire this morning. This old 853 Lemond Buenos Aires 1998-99 frame with full 8 Speed Dura Ace rides real nice and is pretty light.

Armstrong to race in Leadville 100
By ARNIE STAPLETON, AP Sports Writer 13 hours, 37 minutes ago
Lance Armstrong is set to race in the Leadville Trail 100 on Saturday, a grueling 100-mile race in the Rockies of 1,000 mountain bike riders that left Floyd Landis battered and bleeding last year.
Armstrong’s appearance in the 15th annual Race Across the Sky is the “‘hugest’ thing that’s happened to Leadville since we discovered gold,” proclaimed Ken Chlouber, the race’s co-founder. “The whole town is buzzing and we are way beyond excited.”

There is a huge difference in the way the bike rides. Without the clipless pedals it was almost impossible to slow her down with the fat tires. They just spin so heavy. But the ride is so smooth and fluid that it may be worth going back. I am running 700x32 on it right now and they feel so light and minimal. Accelerate much faster and easy to slow down. I bought a pair of 700x40 Kenda $6.95 each from Nashbar a few months back also. Both sets fit the frame and fork with no problem. The pictures above are with the Kenda Kross Plus 700x40's for $ 4.95 each.
Shipping was almost as much as a pair of the tires :^)
